A mortalist is some one that believes in mortalism or the belief that death is a permanent end to the self or me. Its seem to require a belief in a supernatural self that can be destroyed at death rather than the belief that the self is created by the structure and functioning of matter. The structure of matter can at least theoretically be duplicated thus duplicating the self. The problem is that this means there are be more than one you existing at the same time. This is usually unacceptable to many people. I does however allow for superimmortality
