Explanation #1

Without consciousness there is no knowledge! This is because knowledge is a construction of consciousness, or conscious beings. A book although it represents knowledge needs consciousness to understand or use this encoded knowledge. The same idea applies to a computer if it is not conscious.

Without knowledge there is no consciousness. This is because conscious beings need knowledge for survival in a natural system. Or you need knowledge to be able produce or keep alive conscious beings. Although a computer might be able to produce and maintain the existence of conscious beings in an awarepaducer, it will still be required for conscious beings to create the computer in the first place. More importantly to create or maintain the existence of the consciousness by the computer it needs to gather knowledge to make decisions or process information.
