We have the mental ability to see that we have had a conscious past and will have a conscious future that we believe was or will be just as real as the consciousness that we are experiencing right now. These other conscious moments are "over there in time" so to speak when we look at time as a dimension. Even though we do not experience these different awaremoments at each current conscious moment in time we believe that they have or will happen and have or will be just as real to us as this ever changing current conscious moment. What makes this current conscious moment something that you consciously experience and these other conscious moments also something that you will or have consciously experienced? The functioning of the brain produces consciousness. The structure of the brain from one moment to the next is very similar. The environment modifies how the brain functions through different ways. For instance, like the changes to functioning of the brain due to the influence of the stimulation of senses organs on the brain. Many people believe that you are your body. We do experience having a body that is usually similar from moment to moment. We seem to control our body but no other other bodies. It appears to most people that we are consciously tied through time by this body we experience having.

The science of superimmortality predicts that our conscious selves can be over there in space as well as time. What ties us together is the ixperiencitness concept. Ixperiencitness that is produced by a body is created by the functioning of the brain. Identical structure and functioning in another body produces identical ixperiencitness in this other body. It does not take identical structure and functioning in another body to produce identical ixperiencitness, just like it does not take identical structure and functioning in the same body to produce identical ixperiencitness over time. In most cases, the consciousness that you experienced in your past life had the same ixperiencitness as you have now. But the brain had a different structure and functioned differently, back then. By definition of ixperiencitness, any consciousness that you experience has your ixperiencitness. Any consciousness that you experience in the future will by definition have your ixperiencitness as well.
