An Atheist’s Perspective on Death

Superimmortality does not require any soul or other supernatural concept for there to be life after death. The science of superimmortality predicts that there are many different physical ways to produce a consciousness that you will experience after the death of the current body that produces the consciousness you are experiencing now. A clone of a person (you) will not produce the ixperiencitness of you unless the structure and functioning of that clone's brain is closely enough like the structure and functioning of your brain. A clone by definition is another person that has the same DNA in their cells as you do, but the structure and functioning of their brain can be very different because of differing physical conditions over its life time in comparison to the conditions that has or will effect your life. So a clone will not produce the same consciousness that your body will and may not produce the same identical ixperiencitness that your body does either. A cidentireplica of you will have the same DNA that you do plus it will produce the same identical consciousness and ixperiencitness that your current body does. However, a videntireplica can have a different DNA make up and still produce the same identical consciousness and ixperiencitness if the structure and functioning of its brain is closely enough like the structure and functioning of your current brain.
Cornish writes: "Anyone weighing the evidence has no trouble in discarding the notion of the everlasting soul and accepting that death is the natural end to every human life." But it does not have to be the permanent end of life. Restoring closely enough the structure and functioning that your current body, produced at any point in your life, and then continuing that structure and functioning will restore the behavior, self identity, personally, knowledge, skills, memories, emotions, feelings, consciousness, and ixperiencitness, etc., that you had at that point in your life. This is more than superlegacy immortality.
Your life after death is not going to be in some supernatural realm like hell or heaven, it will be produced physically in this universe or multiverse naturally or in some kind of awarepaducer like a neuropaducer or physapaducer. In such devices many different imaginary sensepaths can be produced that can or will seem real to the conscious beings experiencing these sensepaths.
