Biological assimilation is the term for the process that happens in a biological body where matter is exchanged in chemical processes as need to keep the body alive. It usually does not change the ixperiencitness that the body produces because the process maintains the basic structure of the body. This contrasts with philosophical assimilation which is a supernatural way to maintain one ixperiencitness for the same singular person over time.
