Compatibility with science argument for superimmortality
More actions
The science of superimmortality does not contradict the principles of the sciences of physics, chemistry, biology, neuroscience etc., because superimmortality is based on these principles. Where some of the principles of science may change as we learn more about nature These changes are not likely to change the underlying principles of superimmortality. Since superimmortality is not well known there does not appear to be a conspiracy among scientist to cover up or hide scientific facts that support superimmortality. What this means is the laws and facts of physics chemistry, biology, etc. equally apply to the science of superimmortality. There are no supernatural "facts", concept, entities, etc., used by superimmortality. Nor is there any special supernatural logic or reasoning used by superimmortality.
Some hypothesis that are made are not compatible with sciences. For example, the flat earth hypothesis supposes a conspiracy among scientists that are keeping the truth about a flat earth away from society. The reason, they say, why scientists are lying is often given as some liberal agenda against religion and god. Creationism, intelligent design, young earth, and many new age beliefs are also anti-science in their hypothesizes. When science is so successful at predictions and the production of useful products and processes why is there this anti-science goal for these people? Religions and science are not compatible. But religions promise life after death and immortality. Until the creation of the science of superimmortality thinkers assumed that death was the permeant end of conscious existence for each person. Some people have a fear of death much more pronounced than others. Many atheists seem to have gotten over a fear of death but yet they do say that they hope that life could either unlimited or at least be longer if this life was enjoyable enough.
What is the proof that superimmortality is compatible with science as a whole?:
- The structure and functioning of the brain produces consciousness.
- Identical structure and functioning in two or more brains produce identical consciousness.
- Identical structure and functioning in two or more brains produce identical ixperiencitness.
