To Eric and Jamie
I have rational scientific evidence for conscious existence after death for humans. I am best described as an atheist, antitheist, and secular humanist. Many people are religious because it offers them hope for life after death. The science of superimmortality shows rationally and scientifically how conscious life after death is possible and better than any religious theory of life after death. When people can understand superimmortality they will have little use for the irrationality of religions. Superimmortality has nothing to do with any supernatural concept like souls, heavens, hells, spirits, etc. This theory is based on the fact that the brain through its functioning produces consciousness. When you die the changes that are then occurring in the brain no longer have the structure and functioning necessary to produce consciousness. Restore the correct structure and functioning and you restore the body's ability to produce consciousness. The question is who is actually experiencing this restored consciousness? If you restore the structure and functioning of my body to that of Abraham Lincoln’s at some point in his life you get a person who thinks that he is Abraham Lincoln with all of the memories, emotions, knowledge, skills etc., that he had at that point in his life. This person made of my body will not be a conscious version of me. In other words I will not be experiencing the consciousness produced by this (my) body. This is just a though experiment, one of many that lead to realizing the topic
I hope you can respond because I have no idea if you will get this email. This is not a gag. I have been working on disproving these ideas for over forty years since a graduate level philosophy class in college.
