Entropy and complexity arguments

Can entropy remain the same or decrease while complexity increases? Can the diversity of complexity decrease the rate of increase in entropy? Can the increase of diversity of complex consciousness producing devices like brains decrease the rate of increase in entropy compared to the creation of more identical brain or brain like structures? To direct the particular structure and functioning of a brain like device deliborately for a specific purpose can use more energy than letting nature direct it directly. Can then through knowledge more effective way of producing consciousness be used that makes consciousnesses with less entropy produced than nature would do it? Nature by itself is not efficient in producing consciousnesses when it comes to energy used and entropy produced. But once a society of conscious beings are created the production of conscious being is much more efficient that all the other processes that are going on in the universe in its relationship to producing consciousnesses.

There can be a comparison of energy costs or entropy production of producing one physapath in comparison to producing another different one. There is more than just the energy costs of producing a consciousness there are also the consequences of this consciousness in eventually saving or using energy later on. Conscious beings, humans, have been known to produce more energy conserving devices because of there existence.
