We might be tempted with consciousness when we view it as a continuum to see every awarepath as just a version of every other awarepath. But it appears there is a great deal of difference between consciousnesses. We can take two different objects like a TV and a automobile. They are very different and have very different purposes. Two consciousness can be viewed as this different. Like an awarevenue as a grouping of different awarepaths we can group different TVs into a group also they can be big little, all sorts of different colors, made of tubes or circuits boards, plastic or wood, have CRTs or plasma screen etc. They will all be clearly TVs. We can also do the same with an automobile: color, shape, size, speed, number of wheels, engine size, tire shape, extras etc.

Even though the tv and automobile are very different we can construct a continuum between each point between them do not have to have any function. An example of this might be putting a simple tv like device in a car and then gradually reducing the size and complexity of the car while increasing the complexity of the tv, until just the tv is left. From the other side of the continuum we could start putting wheels on the tv making it portable gradually simplifying the tv while making the vehicle more and more like a modern automobile.

The two could evolve together

We can make the analogy to enhanced physipath and awarepath as well. The tv and automobile can be come more and more complicated there are many more versions of a complex TV that there is a of a simple one. Just like in the case of superpaths; there are more superpath versions of a person than there are normal versions of a person.
