Moral consequences of superimmortality

From Aware Theory

Since other people can be conscious versions of you, or percentage wise versions of you, hurting or making other people lives worse is like making your life worse by doing things now that you will suffer for sometime in the future. If you went into the future and tortured yourself you would not experience it. But you will experience it. If you went into the past and tortured yourself you might have forgotten the event but you still suffered the consequences at that time. In the same way by being nicer to others will likely make possible versions of you better in the future. But you maybe concerned for more than just versions of yourself. There may also be others that you care about and they can have versions of themselves existing now that you can be either helping or hurting. Superimmortality predicts that there can be much more than the you of this conscious moment. There are also other reasons to be moral. If other people and future versions of you do not like you because of the way you behavior they are less likely to recreate you in the future.
