Mutual use multiple connectivity neuropath experiments

From Aware Theory

There are an endless amount of different Mutual use multiple connectivity neuropath experiments. One of the purposes of these type of experiments is that of showing the the problem of determine what the self or me is.

One of the simplest experiments of this type is the continuum type experiment with two brains. The two brain are producing identical structure and functioning. They are also producing electrical chemical signals from the each brain that can be translated into human behavior by the computer like device that is monitoring the the brain and suppling identical stimulation to each brain that is identical. The translation of the neuron signals will be producing a continuous total picture of the consciousness produced by each brain. The consciousness produced by each brain will be identical. The brain are divided in half but still connected through their neuron connections to the other half of their brain in such a way that each individual neuron signal can be sent in a different path. Or they are grown in such a way that the each neuron signals that goes to the other half of the brain can be both monitored and can be diverted to a different destination. There will be billions of neurons that connect between the two halves of the brain. Each brain of the two brains, having the exact identical structure and functioning, will have the exact same number of neurons connecting each side of the brain. The first part of the continuum experiment will be diverting the neuron from the left side of brain #1 to the identical neuron on the right side of the brain #2. Brain #1 right side will be connected to the left side of brain # 2. Since they are functioning identically they should continue to function identically. If there is divergence in their structure and functioning then the experiment conditions are not fulfilled. The two different brain output in electrochemical signal will be identical even though part of one brains functions is being produced by the functioning of the other brain and visa versa. This process of switching the destination of the functioning of each neuron can continue one neuron at a time until the left half of the first brain is connected is to the right half of the second brain. And the right half of the first brain is now connected to the left half of the second brain. The condition of the experiment is that both brain are still functioning identically to each other. They started having identical consciousness. They ended having identical consciousness. The question what happened to the self? Superimmortality predicts that both brains produced identical consciousness and identical ixperiencitness to begin with. It also predicts that at each point in the progressing experiment there we two consciousness and ixperiencitness produced that were identical. At the end of the experiment there were still two identical consciousness and ixperiencitness being produced.

The process can be reversed switching back each neuron connection to the way it was before superimmortality predicts that any where along the switching process there will be two identical consciousness and ixperiencitness produced. The majority view is that a cidentireplica(continuing identical replica) is not me, even if it produces identical structure and functioning, behavior, consciousness. If a cidentireplica does not have the same me as the original, what happens to both different me's during and after this experiment?

The experiment can be extended to many different brains with identical structure and functioning and being connected together in many different patterns. The simplest explanation is that the different brains all produce the same consciousness and ixperiencitness before they are reconected and continue to produce the same consciousness and ixperiencitness after any reconnection scheme.

A scientific theory should be predictive and explain why the results that the theory predicts occur. Superimmortality predicts that identical structure and functioning produces identical behavior, consciousness, and ixperiencitness. At the beginning there is identical structure and functioning at the end there is identical structure and functioning in between there is not but there is still identical out put of the neurons that would produce identical behavior and a self reporting of identical consciousness.
