One Life, Afterlife is Unacceptable in Science Atheist Experience

Transhumanism can be considered a small part of superimmortality because transhumanism believes that life can be extended and enhanced through advances in science and technology but transhumanism believes it has to be done with the same body.
There are many positive additions to superimmortality that transhuminism does not have see: Why superimmortality is much superior to transhuminism.
All of the available evidence as far as we can tell points to "This is the only life I am going to get, it is better that I make the most of it.
matt says:
To me it was empowering because the standard Christian notion of heaven, is this, first of all I had already decided that heaven was hell, if it was anything, but it cheapens everything about life it makes every second that you spend, you know, all of your entire 26 years and my nearly 44, its nothing. And yet these are all of the things that matter to us, that means every moment that I have spent watching a cool movie, or making love to my wife, or eating a good meal, or engaging with friends, all of this is trivialized and meaningless and is really just a place to wipe your feet before you get to the real world. What kind of cosmic practical joke is that. And so it is really empowering to figure out that you know what all of the available evidence points to the conclusion that so far as we can tell this is the only life I am going to get so its better that I actually make the most of it. And while some people will look at that and say oh well your just interested in self pleasure this hedonistic life style, well yeah I mean I don't, I don't, advocate hedonism in a harmful way but yeah dam it you should enjoy stuff. Why would you not? Why would you deprive yourself if you are not hurting anyone else something that brings you pleasure before you kick the bucket.
This universe and the experiences that we have here is not a place to wipe your feet. it is part of the real world and the real you. Either what we are experiencing now is the beginning of the hegemony of the superimmortality goals or the positive fruits of our efforts. This effort has to be maintained, no matter how easy we make the process with our increasing knowledge and technology it could always fall apart. It may never even progress if religious dogma prevail over rationality and scientific progress. There will always be a power struggle between belief systems that want to control the direction of human progress or its regression. Proponents of superimmortality can always claim that this is the way the god or gods want it, to eventually saying this is the way we conscious beings want it because it is so positive for conscious beings like humans.
Making the most of this life is also setting the world up to produce the most of every future life as well. If we leave this world a terrible mess when we exist again here we will suffer potentially needlessly for our previous follies.
All of your past, present, and future, experiences are potentially duplicatable where you get to experience them again, just like the first time. Better yet these experiences can be improved or changed for variety, Bad or undesirable experiences in an awarepath can be modified or changed to be much more positive. They can be useful for may different reasons like for mapping and understanding what physapaths will produce what awarepaths.
Superimmortality is not a false promise. You have to work toward it if you want the greater benefits that it creates. Nature can generate random copies of you just like it is doing now with out any effort on you part at all. Making that random copy as desirable as possible means using the resources that you have available in positive creative ways. There however may be other versions of yourself that either benefits from your actions or suffer because of them.
