Richard Dawkins: The Arrogance of Immortality

There is a big difference between simple minded immortality and superimmortality. What Dawkins says about simple minded immortality is basically true, but it is not true about superimmortality. Simple minded immortality is usually based on some supernatural concepts like a soul. A soul is not only necessary for the immortality part of simple minded immortality but also making and maintaining the self as a singular object. If like superimmortality predicts there is not a soul or other supernatural concept that maintains singularity, and you are created by the structure and functioning of matter then there can be more than one body that produces a consciousness that you experience at one time. Superimmortality does not need continuity or continuousness of self as one body through space and time, thus there is not a problem with too many people occurring at one time as Dawkins proposes as would be the result for simple minded immortality. Dawkins seem to believe that everyone that has every existed has to exist at the same time, continuously, on earth, endlessly into the future with limited control of the resulting consciousnesses for there to be immortality. This is not true.
Simple minded immortality is profligate in many ways as Dawkins proposes. It is selfish as in you only being a singular self that cares about your endless self propagation over all other conscious beings and especially other conscious versions of yourself. Superimmortality is very different from this concept of the self. Cidentireplicas of of your current structure and functioning are you. Cidentireplicas of any part of your future or past life are you. Enhanced versions of you are you. and many various structure and functioning versions of you are also you. You are not singular. Not all or even any versions of you have to exist at one time.
Conscious versions of you that have your ixperiencitness can be produced in many different ways such as in neuropaducers that take little space, energy, and resources compared to whole human bodies that in order to be happy need large spaces to maneuver in and the corresponding energy and resources to produce these desired experiences. Neuropaducers can exist in space gaining the energy required from stars and the matter required to produce them from unused planets. Any sensepath can then be applied to any neuropath producing any awarepath and its corresponding ixperiencitness. The earth and any other planets that is a livable place can have whole bodied humans without over population of these places. It may be even possible to produce conscious versions of you with electronic devices that would need even less structure than brains do in space.
