Scientific arguments for the existence of Enhanced Immortality

From Aware Theory

Falsifiability of a scientific prediction is often important. The concept of enhanced immortality makes several predictions each that can be true or false independently of each other. And even true or false on individual cases within the general prediction. A generalized scientific prediction does not have to be correctly predictive in every case to be scientifically useful. For example, Quantum Mechanics is probabilistically predictive.

Some of the predictions that the science of superimmortality makes about enhanced immortality are:

  1. Consciousness can be enhanced by enhancing the structure and functioning of the body or more specifically the brain without changing the ixperiencitness produced by this enhanced body.
  2. Consciousness can be enhanced in numerous different ways by enhancing the structure and functioning of the body or more specifically the brain without changing the ixperiencitness produced by this enhanced body.
  3. Some enhancements of the structures and functioning of the brain will change the ixperiencitness produced by that brain.
  4. An enhancement to the structure and functioning of a brain that produces an enhancement to the consciousness produced by that brain when produced in another brain will produce that enhancement to consciousness in the other brain and it will produce the same ixperiencitness
  5. If other bodies can produce the same ixperiencitness that the original body does then other bodies can produce an enhanced body that has the same ixperiencitness that an enhanced original does.

There are a limited amount of ways that a limited sized consciousness producing structure can produce consciousness and ixperiencitness. This is because there are only so many ways to wire a finite sized structure like a brain with finite sized elements or part like neurons. There are simplifying ways so that not every structure and functioning system needs to be checked. This is because very small changes in structure and or functioning will not change the behavior thus likely not the consciousness,

Prediction #1 does not say that every enhanced structure and functioning brain will produce the same ixperiencitness. To prove this Prediction #1 there only needs to be found one case where the brain was or can be enhanced and the ixperiencitness stayed the same. To falsify this prediction there needs to be strong evidence that no brain can be enhanced and maintain the same ixperiencitness. This basically is disproved by what we know about the development of the brain during a person's lifetime. The structure and functioning of the brain and body are enhanced during growth development and training. Which results in enhancements in various conscious aspects of a person but the original ixperiencitness seems to the person, to continue to experience this developing and enhancing consciousness.

Prediction #2 does not predict exactly how many different ways that a consciousness can be enhanced. The study of the development of babies into children, then into adults, and then again into their adult specializations in life show the many different ways that enhancement exists in different people during their lifetimes.
