Significance of humanity

What is the significance of humanity in the total scheme of things? The concepts of Superimmortality put a whole new perspective of the significance of humanity. Some people believe that humans will die out as a species never to exist again. This may be true that our species will dies out on earth but any advanced enough beings could duplicate the genes to produce humans again. Not only that but the structure and functioning of matter that is necessary to produce any human at any point in their life is also possible. We as a group of conscious beings can understand the concept of a species dyeing out. WE can understand what causes and then find solutions to solve the problem. The solution might be to make smarter conscious beings that can get along and solve problems better. Superimmortality predicts that enhanced beings can have the same ixperiencitness as humans. Humans may loose their usefulness and ability for survival through out the universe but the advanced beings that replace us can still be us. This means that they can have our consciousnesses but enhanced. So you can/ will experience these enhanced consciousnesses in these different bodies just like what you would experience if your present body was enhanced. Knowing that enhanced beings can be a conscious continuation of you, you are more likely to accept this transformation of humanity into enhanced beings that can survive without going extinct. You are more likely to work toward the goal of enhancing humans if you believed that in the end you are actually enhancing your self and increasing your chance of long lasting survival.
