Theory of multiplicity of consciousness existence
Most people believe in the singularity of the self. They believe that there is only one of you, one soul, one body, one consciousness, and there can only be one of you. This leads to theories of consciousnesses that do not make sense. Whatever physical conditions created you to begin with can never exist again without the existence of supernatural processes like souls passing between bodies, reincarnation, resurrection, or the intervention of gods. There is no reliable evidence for the existence of souls, gods, reincarnation, or resurrection. There is however evidence that human bodies exists and that at least some of them are conscious. How can we explain the creation of consciousness from bodies alone? The most scientific way is that the brain through its correct structure and functioning will produce consciousness. Most people think that if there is a physical aspect of the self it is created from the apparent singular body that people experience. Many people then think that they are their body and maybe something like to believe in a soul because the body can exist when you do not, like when your body is dead, in a coma, or under the influence of certain drugs. If your body can exist and you do not what does this mean? This makes sense when we understand that you exist when the right structure and functioning of matter in the body is produced. And you do not consciously exist when your brain does not function correctly. Some people propose then rather than a body and soul there has to be a combination of body and the correct structure and functioning of the matter in the body to produce you. This makes sense because the structure and functioning of the matter in the body is always changing as is your consciousness. Where as your body is a separate object from all other bodies, the structure and functioning of a body is not limited to one body. It is possible that different bodies can duplicate the same structure and functioning. If identical structure and functioning is produced in another body it will produce identical behavior. Identical behavior gives strong evidence that identical consciousness is being produced in this other body because identical self identity, memories, abilities, knowledge, etc., will be shown to exist from the identical structure and functioning. The question is now are you more than just one unique sequence of conscious experiences? At any point in your life you could have done numerous other different things than what you did do. These different conscious lives, you would have experienced if they would have occurred. These different conscious lives correspond to different sequences of functioning of your body.
