YOLO & DEATH

Superimmortality predicts that you could live any number of times. Since the potential of a person consciously existing predates a person's actual existence. It is possible that a person or any one with in a ixperiencitness grouping will never actually exist. The number zero would apply to this person's number of actual existences. Even in the case of all the potential people that have never consciously existed there is never a time that they can not exist for the first time or again. To make the statement that there will be a time when no conscious beings can ever exist again you have to have knowledge that we can not know for certain. People talk about the heat death of the universe as if that is a known fact. That is at best a guess about this one universe. There is so little that we know about this universe we have no certainty about a heat death. Just because the universe is expanding does not mean it will always expand. We do not know what dark energy or dark matter is. Why it exist and how it will always behave. Even if this universe has an ending where it can not ever produce conscious beings again does not mean that there are no other universes in a multiverse that are newly created or that still can produce conscious life and your ixperiencitness grouping.

YOLO means that you only live once. This is a statement about a hypothesis based on the fact that all bodies die and we do not see any people that were alive come back to life again. Superimmortality produces many rationalizations, arguments, and potential experiments showing that this is very likely wrong. Superimmortality is not based on any supernatural concepts, objects, gods, souls, afterworlds, etc., It is totally materialistic theory based on you being, not a specific body, but a number of potential structures and functionings of matter. Where you as only a singular a body is not duplicatable. You as the structure and functioning of matter are duplicatable. The replication of structure and functioning does not have to be exact to produce a consciousness that you experience. It is a scientific question what are all of the different things that you can experience right now and the specific structures and functionings of matter over time that will produce them. You will in the end just experience one potential conscious path because the body produces just one structure and functioning at a time but at each actual moment the number of potential conscious paths that you could experience is enormous.

If you think that you only can experience one conscious path ever, you may choose paths with the most adventure and excitement possible. Of course these conscious paths might be the most dangerous, cutting your believed only conscious existence short. Superimmortality does not guarantee that there will be a life after this one for each person but it allows you to influence the probability of there being future versions of you. The random probability of a conscious version of you existing again increases the longer there are conscious being in this universe and the more of them are. This likely depends on the conscious beings ability to solve problems about survival and the ability to live else where in the universe in abundance. Science will also give us the ability to know what structures and functionings of matter will produce what consciousnesses and ixperiencitnesses, thus giving us the ability to control the consciousness we will experience in the future after our deaths. Religions being anti-science can not give us this knowledge or ability to improve our future lives.
