Continuum Theory of Consciousness
More actions
The Continuum Theory of Consciousness applies the continuum concept to the producers of consciousness such as the brain. When this happens we have a physacontinuum where every possible physapath (the way the brain functions and is strucured) is represented where the closest alike physapaths are closest to each other within the physicontinuum. We can now itomap the physicontinuum to an awarecontinuum that the physicontinuum produces. So we have a one to one fazmapping from physapoint to awarepoint, physamoment to awaremoment, and physapath to awarepath. However, there is not a one to one fazmapping back between the awarepath to the physapath because small differences in the physapath still produce the same awarepath.
Because there are many different kinds of continuums that can be used in understanding consciousness and ixperiencitness we will call them itofazcontinuums as a grouping name.
There are many reasons that itocontinuums are important in understanding consciousness and ixperiencitness. Ixpecontinuums can be mapped to awarecontinuums then to physacontinuums then to physicontinuums. The mapping of ixpecontinuums to physicontinuums gives us the map for many cases of potential conscious existence for most originals. The fazmapping of the mentacontinuums to the ixpecontinuums gives all the cases of potential conscious existence for all possible originals. This is because the mentacontinuums contains all the ways that a consciousness can be produced including the consciousness produced by the citoprocess, vitoprocess, fitoprocess, isoprocess, enhaprocess, insiprocess, simiprocess and itocomboprocess and by awarepaducers.
