You are not the body you are a consciousness. As such you are not the brain you are the functioning of the brain. This functioning is influenced by the structure of the brain. Bodies can not be identical but the functioning and structure of the brain can be identical. The reason that bodies can not be identical is that they are made of different matter and in a different place or time. The body is thus unique in either space and time or matter. two people can be made of the same matter in the same place but they will have to be in a different time. Consciousness is tied to the structure and functioning of matter not the placement in time or space of the matter or the specific matter. When something effect you it effects your consciousness thus it affects your structure and functioning of your nervous system.
If we take two identically functioning persons --cidentireplicas they will have the same consciousness. But according to mortalists they have different ixperiencits. Some how being in a different space and or made of different matter creates a different ixperiencit. We can imagine switching matter in each as rapidly as we wish. If it is the matter that makes them have a different ixperiencit then when we switch enough matter the ixperiencit will switch as well. Is there a gradual change how do you determine this difference. You have the same problem determining which ixperiencit is which as you do in the theory of souls switching bodies. Maybe they never do switch then it appears to be a placement thing rather than a matter thing
The idea behind the whole is that you change or effect this particular body you change its consciousness no other one. The conclusion is that a specific consciousness is tied to a specific body. The consciousness is not tied to a specific body it is tied to a specific functioning structure and functioning is duplicatable how can they deal with periods of death experiments replacement of matter if we freeze someone so that there is no functioning there will be no consciousness produced. If we start up the same functioning as before the consciousness is produced again. But whose ixperiencit is it If it is not the original whose is it then. And how did it get int this body, how did the specific ixperiencit get in the original to begin with
We can also call the ixperiencit concept the factor x that makes two different the ixperiencit is what we should cal lit because that is what is important if you are dead and that is the end of your life that means that, that is the end of you experiencing anything which is exactly what the ixperiencit is. There has to be something that makes two identical consciousness different.
What we want is to be conscious, to experience that consciousness, and that, that consciousness is not to awful to the point that we wish a lot of time we were not conscious. This statement did not mention a body or death it only mentioned being conscious or not being conscious. To experience something is to be conscious of something.
Ixperiencit concept properties:
That it carries over from one moment to the next. It can cycle. It forms a continuum. The ixperiencit changes over the life of a person Even though the ixperiencit may change over time in the life of the person memories carry over. Memories do not have to connect to reality any thing that can change the structure and functioning of the brain can change the memories that the person has. If the ixperiencit is different from the age of five to the age of fifty
The ixperiencit concept is simply, if there is a consciousness produced any where, any time, in any way that you experience it will be a case of conscious existence for you. You do not need continuousness of body consciousness or continuity of body or consciousness. All these are conditions to create singularity and linearity. They are not necessary when you allow multiplicity. Sf is duplicatable. We can imagine many consciousness existing at the same time.
It just appears from our limited perspective that we should be singular, just like the case that the earth seem like the center of the universe from seeing that every thing resolves around the earth again from our limited perspective. We are an awaremoment that has a limited perspective of what we are. But we are becoming more in the sense that we can see possibilities into the future and past that we tie together into a perspective of ourselves as a linear being rather that a momental being which means that it lives in the present responding to the current environment like many lower animals do. With conscious abilities we can see from the moment intensity of the moment that allows many more behaviors to understanding of future and past behavior and consciousness to seeing lateral multiple potential existence. Then concepts of intensity of consciousness.
There is no necessary rational reasons that sf and consciousness are not duplicatable
How is the ixpereincet different from consciousness? The ixperiencit is a grouping of consciousnesses.
History
We have had thousand of years of thinkers and philosophers trying to understand consciousness and personal identity the self it is only relatively recently that we have fully appreciated the complexity of the brain and how it is structured and functions. We still know relatively little about the brain produces consciousness. But we have learned that the more we understand about how the brain functions, the more complex we realize it does function. Earlier theorists did not know about this complexity, thus they could not understand how this organ could produce consciousness of such diversity and complexity.
Science through time has given us better understanding of the working of the body. It has only been recently that we have understood the importance of the brain in producing consciousness and the self.
If there is no multiplicity that means only one person can exist with the same ixperiencit factor at a time no matter if they have the same sf and consciousness. This means that if you have bifurcation of the original person where the end result is identical sf and consciousness in each created individual you have the same problem that you have in all the previous bifurcation experiments. We have no reason not to accept both as having the same ixperiencit. But since they both can not have the same ixperiencit then the ixperiencit must have been destroyed. If the ixperiencit is just an aspect of consciousness any time you have the same consciousness you have the same ixperiencit. For it to die when you have the same consciousness means that it is something separate from consciousness. We have all the problems of determining what produces the ixperiencit because it is not the material aspect of consciousness or we would have duplicated when we duplicated the material aspects of the production of consciousness. This is a material theory of conscious existence and identity not a supernatural theory so it has to be based on properties of matter.
You have to postulate a concept beyond consciousness for the ixperiencit to be singular because consciousness is multiple and forms a continuum. The ixperiencit concept covers a group of awarepaths. Not a singular awaremoment or singular awarepath. Where an awarevenue is a grouping of any set of awarepaths or awaremoments the ixperiencit is a grouping of awaremoments or awarepaths.
Can the ixperiencit be the same thing as the soul? If the ixperiencit is multiple and the soul is singular then no. What if the ixperiencit is singular? They then would need to have the same properties. What are the properties of the soul? Is the ixperiencit concept based on the sf or consciousness at all? Because the soul is not. The soul and the ixperiencit must both be based on the same properties to be the same things in the same way. So if they are both sort of based on sf and consciousness they will have to be based on the same aspects of sf and consciousness. By stopping the functioning of the brain we have stopped the ixperiencit from any kind of awareness if the ixperiencit is singular. Is the ixperiencit concept created by matter or does it travel around as the soul is supposed to do?
The soul and the ixperiencit do not have the same properties. The ixperiencit concept is based on experience like we experience it, it is not based on a supernatural idea like the soul is. If supernatural things exist in reality why can we know nothing about them? Can we know about the ixperiencit concept yes you can because this is what you are experiencing now and think that you will in be the future and did in the past. You really do not know anything about the soul because it is not defined to be this. We know that we can drastically change the ixperiencit this moment in any person by changing the structure and functioning of the brain. Restore this structure and functioning you restore this ixperiencit. This is not the case with a soul. The soul is supposed to be a simple unchangeable supernatural object. The soul is supposed to be discrete the ixperiencit is a changing continuum-- the soul and the ixperiencit concept are not the same thing. If you had the choice of the soul existing forever with out the your ixperiencit concept or the having the ixperiencit concept existing for ever or as long as desired with out the soul which would you choose. Who needs a souls if you are experiencing life like you are now with out one. This is what the ixperiencit concept creates. If you do not need a soul to experience life for ever or after death why do you need a soul at all? The real purpose of the concept of a soul is to have a way to life after death.
One problem with the concept of personal identity is that it is a singular concept. it tries to make the concept of conscious existence a singular rather than what it is and that is multiple.
Ixperiencit grouping is the group of awarepaths or awaremoments that you will expereince if they are produced. Xgo the ixperiencit grouping for the original.
Moral issue: Is it alright to replace one version of an ixpereincit with a better version? What if there is not enough resources to allow both. We want to replace what we consider bad experiences with better experiences so if this replacement creates this situation it would not be a problem. What if it is not suffering but perspective that is replaced? What if the perspective is a regular normal person with the same ixpereincit but a superpath version of this normal person? What if they are both the same happiness level. Is the superpath alway preferable to the normal version or the same ixpereincit. There certainly preferable versions of superpaths and non preferable version as there are in normal people. The concept that there is no life after this one will make some want to suffer through this life that would not other wise want to if they though that they will experience something in the future that is better. Even with this belief that there will be nothing again some people find this life so awful that they want to die.
