What If Atheists Are Wrong? Atheist Experience

From Aware Theory

This is a discussions about "What If Atheists Are Wrong" about superimmortality. The video clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rhv3A849xzU is about what if there is a god, will this be a bad thing for atheists?

If superimmortality is true and atheists do not understand it, think it is correct, believe, and use it, what will be the consequences good or bad for them? Superimmortality is not like an evil god theory that will punish people for not believing it. It a science and like all sciences changes with the increasing knowledge that we gain over time.

Many people including atheists believe that we are singular unique creatures that progress through time like a singular locomotive on a railroad track. There never exists more than one of each of us at any particular time. Religious people often believe that this singularness of self can proceed after death. Many others, like most atheists, believe that the end of the self occurs at death. The religious view gives a little hope for the future but then often takes it away with concepts like hell and purgatory, demons and devils and especially the need to behave in specific ways that are often contrary to our evolved nature.

There is little justice or hope in the atheist view of reality. You have one short life with much suffering and some have shorter lives with more suffering than others. The good and deserving are not rewarded and the bad and evil are not punished in this life, nor are they rewarded or punished in a future life. Other than leading as good a life as possible now there is nothing else one can do for a future after death. People in the past and even now in the present spend, and have spent, large amounts of resources hoping to create an after life for themselves. Unfortunately, with no evidence of any actual desired results. Think of all the efforts involved in creating the pyramids, the Chinese clay army, and other tombs and monuments dedicated to immortality through out the world. What if those resources would have been spent on scientific research instead? Science and it applications have made many peoples lives better and more enjoyable. The problem is that the concept of science did not exist then like it does now. In the same way a actual science of immortality that was not based on some supernatural concepts like souls, gods, heaven, or hell has not existed until now either.
